The Amateur Radio User Group (RUG)

Purpose - To bring together amateur radio operators of similar interests and desires who want to be actively involved in one or more of the technical and/or operating facets of amateur radio to:

  1. Promote the passing and sharing of amateur radio knowledge and experiences to other interested amateur radio operators.
  2. Promote the discovery and enjoyment of amateur radio.
  3. Turn our learning and sharing efforts into practical working applications.
  4. To have fun!

Goals -

  1. To associate with like-minded operators who want to learn, create, build and have fun.
  2. To increase our own knowledge, operating skills, and techniques and those of other amateur radio operators.
  3. To get back to creating and building devices and creating applications for amateur radio as did men with the names of Maxim, Tesla, Armstrong, Fleming, and Marconi.
  4. To associate with amateur radio operators who have the love of amateur radio and with those who yearn to embrace it.
  5. To associate with those amateur radio operators who want to pass on their wisdom and knowledge of a lifetime to those who so want to learn and do.
  6. To sustain a knowledge base for the future to not lose past skills and experiences to the march of time.
